Arab media outlets reported Tuesday morning that four airstrikes were carried out overnight Monday into Tuesday against the Abu al-Duhur military airfield in Syria's northwestern Idlib province. The strikes occurred approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) from the Turkish border, in the eastern countryside of Idlib.
According to the reports, the identity of the aircraft that conducted the strikes remains unknown, and Damascus has not issued any official statement regarding the incident. The official silence from Syrian authorities has raised questions about the nature and objectives of the attack.
