Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an official condemnation of the deadly Houthi missile attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which killed 12 people, wounded hundreds, and caused extensive damage. The public statement on an attack against Saudi Arabia is highly unusual, given that Israel and Saudi Arabia maintain no formal diplomatic relations.

Prime Minister issues unusual official condemnation of deadly attack on Riyadh airport, despite Israel having no diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia

The condemnation was published on the official account of the Prime Minister of Israel. "I condemn in the strongest possible terms the horrific terror attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which claimed the lives of 12 innocent people and wounded hundreds more," Netanyahu wrote.
"On behalf of the people of Israel, I extend our deepest condolences to the families of those murdered and our wishes for a full recovery to the wounded. Terror targets innocent people and seeks to spread fear and instability. It must be met with resolute resistance."
"Israel looks forward to a strong Middle East—one that stands united against threats, protects its people, and builds a future of security, cooperation, and prosperity for all the peoples of our region."
