Lihi Kornowski offers warm compliments to actor Ala Dakka, despite controversy over his social media criticism of Israeli reactions during the war with Iran

Israeli actress Lihi Kornowski has publicly praised actor Ala Dakka, known for his roles in the hit series "Fauda" and "Ta'agad," just months after he drew sharp criticism for comments he made during Israel's military confrontation with Iran.

In a social media post, Kornowski described Dakka in glowing terms as "an exceptionally rare person, kind-hearted, hilarious, with truly unique singing and acting abilities".

The compliments come despite controversy that surrounded Dakka earlier this year when he criticized Israelis who celebrated destruction in Tehran.

Dakka became a subject of public debate during Israel's recent conflict with Iran when he posted critical comments on social media questioning Israeli reactions to military strikes. "How much can people celebrate the destruction of Tehran?", the actor posted in the Israeli social networks at the time.

He continued his critique, asking: "How much emptiness exists in this place that it fills so quickly from destruction in distant parts of the world? What is this sickness?". Dakka also criticized what he perceived as a lack of voices questioning Israel's conduct during the military operations.

His remarks generated significant online backlash and drew responses from across the political spectrum. Now, despite the controversy his statements generated, Kornowski has chosen to highlight a different side of the actor, offering public praise that presents him in a markedly positive light.
