During President Isaac Herzog's consultation meeting with representatives of the Joint List faction, chairman Yosef Jabareen and MKs Ahmad Tibi, Ofer Cassif, Bakr Awauda and Maha Karkabi, Herzog asked the faction chairman whether the Joint List would withdraw its support from the coalition in the event of a large-scale military campaign in Iran or Gaza.
Herzog to Joint List: would you back war?
President Isaac Herzog asked Joint List MKs whether they would withdraw support from the coalition in the event of a major military operation in Gaza or Iran. Watch chairman Yosef Jabareen's answer.

"What's important to emphasize is that we look at the whole picture," Jabareen told Herzog. "We will make strategic decisions. The public didn't elect us to bring down Netanyahu and then bring him back, so we will make decisions that serve both our platform and our strategy for advancing the values we believe in, and we will also strive for the path to be one of peace."

Later in the meeting, Herzog addressed the Arab MKs' refusal to condemn terrorism, noting that many Arab citizens were also murdered on October 7, and asked: "When will there be a crossing of the Rubicon and we fight together against acts of terror?"
Tibi responded sharply, telling Herzog: "Do you think, Mr. President, that you need to preach morality to us that this is a shocking case?" According to him, "Ayman Odeh and I attended the funeral of Vivian Silver, and not the prime minister and the right-wingers who tell us we're terror supporters, that's hypocrisy."

The Arab MKs were also asked about the Abraham Accords and US President Donald Trump's peace plan. According to Jabareen, "Anything that can contribute to advancing the platform and this plan is really important, but we must not forget the main issue, which is self-determination for the Palestinian people within the '67 borders, in a state that will live in peace alongside the State of Israel. That can guarantee a solution and hope, and that can bring about change."
