Lebanon to citizens: Don't use Waze!
The Lebanese Internal Security Ministry recently issued a warning to citizens not to use the Israeli made direction finder as it might be used for harmful purposes.

The Lebanese Internal Security Ministry issued instructions today (Tuesday) for citizens to stop using the direction finding app Waze, and to instead use alternatives such as Google Maps.
The ministry said that because the app was developed by Israelis and funded by "hostile parties," it should not be used, presumably because of the danger it presents - either in being manipulated or used to track people.
This warning suggests Lebanon fears that Israeli security forces are currently using Waze in much the same way they used smartphone location finding to target and eliminate Hezbollah terrorists during the first several months of the war.
Hezbollah then stopped using smartphones and switched to beepers, only to suffer a mass explosion attack thanks to a clever booby-trapping operation by the Mossad.
The IDF has indeed been targeting armed Hezbollah operatives trying to infiltrate into southern Lebanon, and it may be that Lebanon fears that they are doing so by manipulating the Waze app.
