Desecration in Athens: Vandals defile church with sick antisemitic slogans
Vile graffiti praises terrorists, targets IDF, and defiles Christian sanctuary.

A historic church in Athens was defaced overnight with anti-Israel and antisemitic graffiti, including slogans glorifying Hamas and slurs aimed at IDF soldiers, local authorities reported Sunday.
The shocking act of vandalism in the heart of Greece’s predominantly Orthodox Christian capital has ignited public outrage and renewed concerns over the spread of hate-fueled rhetoric into sacred and communal spaces.
Graffiti covered the church’s exterior, bearing slogans that condemned Israel and praised Hamas. Religious leaders and residents condemned the desecration, calling it an affront not only to the church but to the principles of religious tolerance and coexistence that underpin Greek society.
In response, law enforcement has ramped up patrols around religious sites, and crews have begun efforts to clean and restore the damaged building. Authorities have vowed to pursue the perpetrators and prevent similar attacks amid rising ideological tensions.
