The Samaria Regional Council and the Bruchin settlement announced that baby Ravid Haim, son of Tze'ela Gez passed away this morning in the hospital.

Ravid Haim, a survivor of a horrific terrorist attack near Bruchin, was critically injured when his mother, Tze'ela, was shot by terrorists while en route to the hospital to give birth to him two weeks ago.

As reported by JPost, she was evacuated unconscious to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where doctors performed emergency surgery in a bid to save the baby. Tragically, Tzeela succumbed to her injuries.

The baby was then transferred to Schneider Medical Center, where medical teams continued fighting for his life.

He had been in critical condition since birth, receiving intensive care in the neonatal intensive care unit. Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, hospital staff were forced to declare his death earlier today.

His father, Hananel, and family received the devastating news at the hospital.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, expressed profound grief: “This is a double murder! The world must be horrified. We demand a clear Zionist response, construction and more construction to honor Ravid and Tze'ela’s memory. The citizens of Israel demand a military ground operation in the village of Brukhin and the demolition of all illegal structures endangering travelers on the road. Shockingly, this has not yet happened. We embrace the family and will stand by them in all they need. The entire nation of Israel and the world mourns this barbaric and horrific murder.”

Meital Ben Yosef, chair of the Bruchin settlement, added, “The Bruchin community is in pain and mourning over the passing of baby Ravid Haim, son of Tze'ela, may their memories be blessed. This baby, who was meant to be born into a world of joy and anticipation, took his final breath this morning after battling for life since his birth exactly two weeks ago. A vile and despicable terrorist murdered a mother and her son together in an attempt to annihilate and destroy the Jewish people. We will not be silent or stop, we will continue our efforts to commemorate and respond to this shocking murder. We will expand construction and settlement, broadening the boundaries of life and sanctity. We will make it abundantly clear to all our enemies that we are here in the land of our forefathers and will remain here forever!”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated:

"This morning, we received the heartbreaking news of the death of baby Ravid Chaim, the son of Tze'ela, may her memory be a blessing, and Hananel Gaz.
No words can ease the pain of a newborn and his mother being murdered.
The courage and dedication of the settlers in Judea and Samaria are what will ultimately defeat our enemies.
"May the land not hide their blood.""

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said:

“We are shattered by this devastating blow. I bow my head and embrace the Gaz family in their time of grief.
The death of baby Ravid Chaim, murdered in the brutal terrorist attack at the Samaria Junction, is a painful reminder of who we are facing, an enemy so cruel that killing mothers and children is their pastime.
We must not surrender or compromise with terrorism. We are obligated to fight the terrorists forcefully so that Jewish children are not murdered in their own land.”

Israeli journalists cried out in pain and fury:

Hallel Bitton Rosen said,
"The Israeli government, IDF, Shin Bet, and police must all engage in soul-searching as one.
A mother is murdered along with the fruit of her womb.
The time for vengeance has come. How does the world carry on as usual in the face of this atrocity? What is each of these bodies doing in response to this horrific attack? Anyone who shows mercy to the enemy is unfit to hold their position for even one more minute!
This is a morning of soul-searching for all of us as the people of Israel, it’s time to cry out and demand from all our leaders: the time for revenge has come. Enough with groveling. We must destroy the village of Burkin and expel all its residents to Syria and Gaza: There must be a response to this murderous terrorism."

Michael Shemesh said,

"The heart breaks for a baby who, before even leaving his mother’s womb, was forced to fight for his life just because he was Jewish, and ultimately passed away
The devil has yet to devise a vengeance for the blood of a small child."
