Police forces, medical teams and firefighters are now outside the home of Knesset member Ariel Kellner on Thursday, after he received a suspicious letter this morning. At the same time, Knesset member Hanoch Milevitzky also received a threatening letter that included curses, insults, and even explicit calls for physical harm and murder.

In a letter sent to MK Milevitzky, it was written: "After World War II, a group headed by Abba Kovner called 'The Jewish Avengers' was organized, which operated and succeeded in harming and taking revenge on the Nazis who remained alive at the end of the battles. Some of them were tried and imprisoned, some managed to escape, and the group of Avengers succeeded in eliminating some of them – whether by directly hitting them with a firearm or by other means such as poisoning. The reprisals were carried out in urban and rural areas and in Nazi prisoner of war camps. The group's activity continued for a while and eventually faded, and was documented in films and books."

The letter goes on to introduce a group called "The Israeli Avengers": "We, the Israeli Avengers!, are inspired by the 'Jewish Avengers'. The organization was founded in the summer of 2023 by a group of Israelis from various places in Israel and abroad. It is possible that they will even condemn us, and this is acceptable to us. We are imbued with purpose and act on our own behalf alone, out of pain for the families of terror victims and out of faith in the justice of our path that will bring about change."

The letter goes on to elaborate: "We are a group of several dozen members, men and women from different sectors – voters from right and left, members of religious parties, residents of Judea and Samaria, wearing knitted and black kippahs, and also secular Jews. We are engaged in various professions, self-employed and salaried in private companies and government ministries."
