Israel's Ministry of Health announced Tuesday that it is investigating a suspected case of Ebola in a person who recently returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The individual, who arrived in Israel several days ago, sought medical attention after developing a fever and is currently being treated in isolation at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.
Health officials emphasized that the case remains unconfirmed at this stage. Laboratory testing is currently underway at ministry facilities, with results expected within the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, epidemiological investigators are working to identify anyone who may have had contact with the patient.
