Dual Operations in Gaza Strip

Gaza Police Station Strike Kills Six

Israeli Strike on Gaza Police Station Kills Six Palestinians

At least six Palestinians were killed Wednesday in an Israeli airstrike targeting a police headquarters in central Gaza City, according to Palestinian sources. The strike occurred simultaneously with a separate operation in the Nuseirat area, where a motorcycle was hit.

Palestinian reports indicate the Gaza City strike hit a building that served as a police station, leaving multiple casualties and wounded. In Nuseirat, located in the central Gaza Strip, the second strike targeted a motorcycle, though details about casualties in that incident have not yet been confirmed.

The latest operations add to a series of IDF actions in the Gaza Strip in recent days. Earlier this week, Israeli forces struck Hamas commanders in the Shati area near Gaza's port, killing seven operatives who were allegedly planning terror attacks against IDF troops.

Following that earlier strike, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz outlined the government's approach: "Israel's policy in Gaza is clear - we remove threats, eliminate terrorists and exact a price from anyone who took part in the October 7 massacre." According to IDF statements, the operatives eliminated in previous strikes were actively involved in planning terror operations.

The strikes come amid ongoing tensions along the Yellow Line—a buffer zone established by Israeli forces inside Gaza. IDF soldiers operating in the area have been instructed to prepare for possible retaliatory fire from Hamas, after militants began approaching the sensitive boundary.

Reports suggest Hamas is attempting to exploit the current pause in major fighting to strengthen its territorial control and challenge Israel's military presence in the area. Militants have been moving closer to the Yellow Line in what appears to be an effort to reshape the narrative on the ground and present themselves as responding to Israeli actions.

The IDF has made clear that any threat detected within the Yellow Line must be addressed immediately, though soldiers are required to operate under strict parameters designed to prevent harm to uninvolved civilians. The guidelines require forces to balance the need to respond to threats with the imperative to protect civilian lives.
