Gazans fight Hamas
WATCH: Gazans Surge Past Hamas in Daring Bid for U.S. Aid
In a rare act of defiance, Gazan civilians bypass Hamas checkpoints to receive life-saving aid in Rafah, after nearly 600 days of war.

Hundreds of Gazan residents, one proudly waving a U.S. flag, surged toward new aid distribution centers in Rafah’s Tel al-Sultan and Morag areas. Defying a Hamas checkpoint attempting to block food distribution, they sought vital supplies, pasta, flour, rice, sugar, oil, beans, canned vegetables, canned beans, and tehina, to sustain thousands of families.

The centers, part of a U.S.-led initiative, mark a milestone in delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza. Over recent weeks, four such facilities were established across the Strip, operated by international aid organizations and secured by a U.S. civilian company. The IDF, coordinating with Southern Command and COGAT, worked closely with the U.S. administration and global partners to ensure the aid reaches those in need while preventing it from falling into Hamas’s hands.
For residents enduring nearly 600 days of war, these centers offer a lifeline in the face of ongoing hardship.

Finance Minster Bezalel Smotrich says that today is a turning ppint in the war, as Gazans turn against Hamas to claim their humanitarian aid parcels. Considering he was the one who backed up Bibi letting aid enter Gaza after hostage negotiations stalled, it's not surprising he thinks this is a good thing. Still, it's good that Israel is allowing it, if only to show the world we are not starving Gaza.
