Hamas is growing desperate

As Israel's military operations intensify in the Gaza Strip, Hamas is resorting to extreme measures to maintain control, including public executions and stringent new directives for its fighters. On Monday, in a chilling spectacle in central Gaza City, Hamas security forces publicly executed three Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel, according to a report by Sapir Lipkin on Israel's Channel 12.

The executions, meticulously orchestrated by Hamas's "Arrow" unit, were designed to send a clear message of internal dominance and deter potential collaborators amid fears of losing grip over the region. Crowds of Gazans were recorded cheering for Hamas's military wing, chanting "Long live the Al-Qassam Brigades." Following the executions, a note was left at the scene with a direct threat: "To all the mercenaries of the occupation and collaborators – the time has come to sever your heads." Hamas security forces further warned that this was only the beginning of their crackdown, vowing that "the hand of the military wings will reach anyone who betrays or incites against public security."

In addition to these internal terror tactics, Hamas issued strict new guidelines to its operatives. Militants were ordered to avoid areas of active conflict unless absolutely necessary and to move in groups with carefully planned routes to evade Israeli forces. These measures reflect Hamas's growing concern over losses inflicted by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The group is attempting to make collaboration with Israel a life-threatening risk for Gazans, reinforcing its authority despite significant setbacks. A displaced Gazan woman named Ilham, who fled southward, shared her fears in a video posted online: "We are escaping certain death that could leave us maimed, paralyzed, or disabled. It’s almost certain death, or close to it."
