The Gaza Rearmament: Military Intelligence Warns Chief of Staff That Hamas Is Actively Preparing for Renewed War

Senior intelligence and Southern Command officers have delivered an urgent warning to Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, stating that Hamas is rapidly rebuilding its military capabilities and preparing to launch a renewed war.

The security situation along the southern border has shifted dramatically as senior defense officials warn of extensive enemy reorganization during the current diplomatic lull. Military leadership has received detailed briefings outlining the rapid rehabilitation of terrorist infrastructure throughout the coastal enclave. These strategic developments indicate that the temporary cessation of active combat has allowed hostile factions to replenish their combat ranks and manufacturing capabilities.

Senior officers within the Military Intelligence Directorate and the Southern Command issued a direct warning last week to Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, revealing that the military wing of Hamas is actively preparing for a renewed war in Gaza. According to intelligence briefings broadcast on national networks, the terrorist organization is aggressively utilizing the current operational window to restore its depleted forces. The local commanders explicitly told Zamir that Hamas is strong on the ground, nobody threatens it, and the organization is not ready to give up control in Gaza.

The specific intelligence presented to the Chief of Staff indicates that the terrorist group is currently manufacturing hundreds of explosive devices and anti tank missiles every single month. Furthermore, the organization has initiated a massive recruitment drive, targeting young adults between the ages of 18 and 22 to fill vacancies within its combat units. Security forces have also detected the resumption of specialized training programs for the elite Nukhba terrorist units, alongside active attempts to smuggle advanced drones and encrypted communication equipment from the Sinai Peninsula into the Gaza Strip.

The continuous military build up has led to an official consensus within the Israel Defense Forces that security forces must immediately return to active combat operations inside the Gaza Strip to neutralize the growing threat. This strategic military position was formally communicated to American counterparts, but officials in Washington have expressed strong opposition to the resumption of hostilities. The United States government prefers to maintain the current framework established by recent agreements, aiming to focus on the long term diplomatic vision championed by President Donald Trump and the Peace Council.

Simultaneously, diplomatic reporting has exposed secret international maneuvers conducted by the terrorist leadership to preserve its weapons stockpiles. On June 10, a high ranking Hamas delegation led by Moussa Abu Marzouk met in Moscow with senior Russian government officials to discuss international peace roadmaps. A Palestinian source familiar with the details of the meeting revealed that the core of the discussions focused on Section 8 of the diplomatic roadmap, which specifically details the evacuation and storage of weapons inside the strip, effectively requiring the total disarmament of Hamas.

The Palestinian source noted that while the terrorist organization expressed a theoretical agreement to the disarmament clause, they demanded rigid amendments that would undermine external oversight. Hamas insisted that the physical implementation of any weapons management must be the exclusive responsibility of the National Committee for Managing Gaza, which is a joint Palestinian body. Additionally, the group demanded that any international stabilization forces operate only in direct coordination with local factions, while requiring absolute guarantees that no evacuated weapons would ever be handed over to Israel or any other external entity.
