"Iran is Hysterical": President Herzog Stands Amid Arad Ruins to Defy Iran’s Campaign of Terror

"They are in internal hysteria." President Isaac Herzog tours the destruction in Arad and Dimona, meeting with Ger Hasidim and the family of survivor Segev Kalfon. Herzog warns of Iran's psychological warfare and vows that the campaign will leave Tehran "permanently weakened."

President Isaac Herzog arrived in Arad on Sunday to tour the scene of a devastating Iranian missile strike, meeting with local officials and members of the Ger Hasidic community whose homes were caught in the blast.

Walking among the skeletal remains of apartment buildings, the President offered words of encouragement while acknowledging the physical and mental toll the ongoing conflict is taking on Israeli civilians.

A Message of Resilience Amidst the Rubble

"We are standing in a very significant scene," Herzog stated. "Homes on all sides have been severely hit. I wish a speedy recovery to the wounded, there are those in serious condition, and a full recovery to everyone. I trust the municipality and the authorities to ensure everyone is evacuated to proper housing."

The President addressed the psychological warfare being waged by the Iranian axis, noting that the strikes are designed to create a constant sense of dread from the northern border to the southern tip of the country.

"The enemy is trying to work on our psychology from Misgav Am to Eilat, to show us that we are always threatened and to try to appear much stronger than they actually are," Herzog said. "This is a grave mistake. They are taking hit after hit after hit."

Weakening the Iranian Threat

Herzog provided a strategic perspective on the necessity of the current campaign, suggesting that the "internal hysteria" within the Iranian leadership’s command and control systems is a sign of Israel's progress.

"I know it isn't easy for the individual who is threatened and constantly heading to shelters, like all of us," the President admitted. "But I want to encourage the people of Israel—this is a process. This process will ultimately end with a much weaker Iran that is less capable of threatening us as it had planned. We must consider what would have happened if we had waited a few more years without conducting this campaign now."

Solidarity with Dimona and the Kalfon Family

In addition to his visit to Arad, President Herzog traveled to Dimona to visit the "Beit HaLechem" bakery. The business is owned by the family of Segev Kalfon, a survivor of Hamas captivity, and was damaged by an Iranian missile strike on Saturday night.

The President expressed the nation's solidarity with the Kalfon family and the residents of Dimona, stating that he came to offer support on behalf of the entire country. "Be strong and courageous, People of Israel," Herzog concluded. "We will get through this, and we will get through it in a big way."

Menawhile, standing amidst the wreckage in Arad, State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman revealed he has sent a classified warning to the Prime Minister, cautioning that millions of Israelis in the periphery remain defenseless against the ongoing Iranian barrage.
