Hezbollah SG Naim Qassem: "Israel Has Not Met Its Obligations; US and Mossad Failed in Iran"
Hezbollah’s Secretary-General addressed the unrest in Iran, claiming it was a plot by Netanyahu and Trump to topple the regime using foreign agents. On the northern front, he accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement: "Lebanon implemented everything; Israel implemented nothing."

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem delivered a speech today addressing two major issues: the internal unrest in Iran and the implementation of the agreement between Israel and Lebanon. In his remarks, he accused Israel and the US of fueling the fire in the Islamic Republic while simultaneously alleging that Israel has completely violated the agreements on the northern border.
Referring to the protests in Iran, Qassem rejected the notion of spontaneous economic demonstrations, describing the events as a calculated foreign intervention. "They turned to creating riots and attempting to spark chaos," Qassem said. He alleged that "Mossad and US agents" were deployed to move through the streets, exploiting protests over the economic situation under a "guise of quiet protest."
According to Qassem, these elements began killing security personnel and civilians to create anarchy. He claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President-elect Donald Trump intervened to support these groups with the specific goal of "destroying the Islamic Republic from within, toppling the regime, and changing the Iranian equation."
Qassem mocked these efforts, claiming the US had failed, citing pro-regime counter-demonstrations: "Despite all the threats... it turned out that the great Iranian people came out in droves. The demonstration in Tehran alone numbered three million participants. Can one compare millions to dozens of agents who kill people and destroy public property? The US has failed to achieve its goal of toppling the regime."
Regarding the situation in Lebanon, the Hezbollah leader took a hardline stance, asserting that while his organization and the State of Lebanon have upheld their end of the deal, Israel has not.
"Lebanon implemented everything imposed on it within the framework of the agreement, but Israel did not meet its obligations," Qassem declared.
He also clarified his organization's view on the timeline of the arrangement, likely referring to the ceasefire phases: "Anyone who knows the situation knows that the implementation of the agreement is the implementation of a single stage only, not multiple stages. The agreement was implemented by the State of Lebanon, and Israel has implemented nothing from it. There is no second stage."
