Police have rearrested a Palestinian terror suspect who was previously released in January as part of the hostage-prisoner exchange during the temporary truce between Israel and Hamas. The individual was taken into custody overnight on October 29, 2025, on suspicion of renewing his involvement in terrorist activity, law enforcement officials confirmed today.

The suspect, a resident of Bethlehem, had been initially detained approximately a year ago after police reportedly discovered 25 explosives in his possession. He was suspected at the time of supplying homemade explosives to terror groups.

The operation was conducted by Judea and Samaria District police, who raided the suspect's home last night. He has been taken for interrogation regarding the new allegations.

Intriguingly, Hebrew media outlets have reported that the suspect was allegedly planning an attack near the sensitive site of Rachel's Tomb. According to the Israel Hayom daily, the individual in question is 16 years old.

The rearrest underscores persistent security concerns regarding detainees released in exchange agreements and highlights the ongoing efforts by Israeli police to thwart potential attacks in Judea and Samaria.
