IDF Eliminates Senior IRGC Quds Force Operative in Lebanon's Beqaa Valley | WATCH
Al Jawhari He was described as a "central terrorist operative" who had been actively involved for years in advancing Iranian-directed terror plots against Israel, coordinating logistics, reconnaissance, and planning from the Syria-Lebanon theater.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet announced today the targeted killing of Hussein al-Jawhari, identified as a key operative in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, during a precision strike in eastern Lebanon's Beqaa Valley.
The operation, carried out this morning in the Nasriyet Riziq area near Nasiriyah, marks another blow to Iranian-backed networks in the region amid escalating tensions.
According to a joint IDF-Shin Bet statement released by Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee, al-Jawhari served in Unit 840, the Quds Force's external operations arm responsible for clandestine attacks, infrastructure development, and proxy recruitment.
Israeli intelligence confirmed his role posed an "immediate threat," prompting the strike based on actionable data.
In a parallel incident, Israeli drones targeted a vehicle in the Housh al-Sayyid Ali area of the Bekaa Valley near the Syrian border, resulting in the deaths of two unidentified individuals and significant damage to the vehicle.
While the IDF did not explicitly link this to al-Jawhari, the area is notorious for cross-border smuggling and Quds Force activities. The IDF emphasized that Unit 840 remains a high-priority target due to its focus on executing Iranian-orchestrated attacks against Israel and Jewish interests abroad.
Lebanese media reported explosions in the Beqaa region, with local sources confirming casualties but providing no further details. Iranian and Hezbollah officials have not yet responded.
