In a school in southern Gaza, among desks and textbooks, Southern Command identified a Hamas terrorist hiding in a classroom a few weeks ago. "This is a highly sensitive area, and not just because of enemy activity," explains Major M., a company commander in Battalion 334 ("Thunder"). "That’s why the command sought the most precise way to strike the terrorist. And that’s where we come in, along with 'Bar.'"
Last year, the artillery battalion integrated the "Bar," a new and advanced guided rocket capable of locking onto a target with laser designation and destroying it: "The level of control over the strike is so precise that we can predetermine how many floors the 'Bar' will penetrate before detonating. This enables a surgical and sharp operation." This precision made it the ideal choice for the targeted mission.
