Rising Israeli singer and songwriter Shir Zohar woke up this morning to find herself locked out of her Instagram account after pro-Palestinian hackers broke in overnight and posted inflammatory content.

The breach occurred in the early hours of Monday, around 3:00 AM, when unidentified activists gained access to Zohar's account and uploaded an image of the Palestinian flag alongside the text "Free Palestine."

As of late Monday morning, the offensive post remained live on the platform, accumulating comments from Israeli followers discussing the security breach. Zohar, 25, has not yet been able to regain control of her account or respond to the incident.

The daughter of Israeli Football Association chairman Shino Zohar, the young artist has been climbing the ranks of Israeli music since releasing her debut album "Shir" in July 2025. The album featured viral hits including "Aba Tatzil Oti" (Dad Save Me), which became a TikTok sensation.

Zohar writes and composes much of her own material, has performed at Reading 3 in Tel Aviv, appeared in the youth series "Quest," and is currently filming a family docu-reality show alongside her twin sister and fiancé, soccer player Yarden Shua.

Breaches of Israeli public figures' social media accounts have become an increasingly common tactic among pro-Palestinian activists in recent years. These cyberattacks aim to spread political messages and cause embarrassment to their targets.

It remains unclear whether the hack resulted from a simple password breach, phishing attack, or exploitation of a broader security vulnerability in Instagram's systems.

Instagram and Zohar's representatives have not yet commented on the incident or provided a timeline for restoring access to the account.
