A spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) has threatened to treat any international force in Gaza, including those involving Arab and Islamic countries, as an occupying entity.

Muhammad Al-Hajj Musa, a PIJ representative, made the remarks during a November 18 interview on Qatar-based Al-Jazeera Network.

He was responding to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, which proposes frameworks for Gaza's post-conflict governance and security, potentially including multinational troops to stabilize the region. Musa emphatically stated that his group would view such deployments as an imposition of foreign control, vowing resistance against what he described as a "new occupation."

"We reject this resolution in its entirety," Musa said, framing it as an assault on Palestinian sovereignty and self-determination. The PIJ, an Iran-backed militant organization designated as a terrorist group by the United States, European Union, and Israel, has long opposed diplomatic initiatives that fall short of full Palestinian autonomy.

Echoing Musa's sentiments, other Palestinian factions, including Hamas, have condemned the UN measure, arguing it legitimizes external interference in Gaza's affairs. The comments quickly gained traction online, with clips circulating on social media platforms and analyzed by organizations like the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

Resolution 2803 emerges from international efforts to address Gaza's reconstruction and security following prolonged conflict.

Critics among Palestinian groups see it as a threat to their resistance movements, while proponents argue it's essential for lasting peace.

No immediate responses from the targeted Arab or Islamic nations have been reported, while analysts suggest this could deter participation from regional allies wary of being drawn into direct conflict.
