Israel begins UN-free aid distribution in Gaza | WATCH
The aid packages will be distributed at four stations in southern Gaza.


The effort to provide the 1.2 million Gazans living south of Gaza City with food aid, free of UN involvement and Hamas interference, began today (Monday).
The aid is set to be distributed at four stations in the southern Gaza Strip, with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation handling the packages and the IDF providing spatial defense and protection.

The humanitarian effort ran into trouble yesterday when Jake Wood resigned as the GHF's executive director, citing concerns that he could not manage the aid distribution in accordance with traditional humanitarian principles. Nevertheless, the effort is now underway and is set to expand in the coming months.
