Israel calls on international community to protect Syrian Druze
Following multiple attacks and harassments, Israel has openly called on the international community to ensure minority rights are respected.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar called today (Thursday) on the international community to come to the protection of the Druze in Syria in the face of Jihadi attacks and harassment.
Sa'ar said that "We, the Jewish people, know what it is to be a minority. The Middle East is a tough region for minorities.
"I call on the international community to fulfill its role in protecting the minorities in Syria - especially the Druze - from the regime and its gangs of terror. And not to turn a blind eye to the tough events taking place there over the recent months."
Israel has made a point of seeking to protect and fight for the interests and security of the Druze minority, especially in southern Syria, against the central government, which they believe is still jihadist despite claims that they have shed that ideology.
