Speaking from the IDF Northern Command following a comprehensive situational assessment with the Defense Minister, the Chief of Staff, and regional commanders, the Prime Minister emphasized that the expansion is a tactical necessity to protect residents. The move is designed to dismantle the threat of cross border invasions and to push Hezbollah’s anti-tank missile units far enough away that they can no longer target Israeli communities with direct fire.
