Outrage in Jerusalem: Police Filmed Forcefully Pulling Baby Carriage During Light Rail Protest
Shocking footage from a Jerusalem Light Rail protest shows police pulling a baby carriage with force. Jerusalem's District Commander has pulled the officers for questioning as the IDF reports on a riot involving injuries to police.

Violent footage emerged Thursday from an anti-Light Rail demonstration on Yehezkel Street, showing police detectives using significant force to pull a stroller containing a baby during a confrontation with the infant's father.
The Incident and Police Response
The video, which quickly went viral, shows a chaotic scene where protesters, reportedly extremist elements of the Haredi community, brought children to the front lines of the demonstration.
Within minutes of the footage surfacing, Jerusalem District Commander Major General Avshalom Peled ordered the immediate removal of the involved officers from the field for questioning.
"Following the footage being circulated online showing officers evacuating an agitator holding firmly onto a baby carriage, the District Commander has instructed to pull the involved officers and bring them in for an immediate debriefing," the police stated.
Allegations of Vandalism and Violence
While the police condemned the specific handling of the stroller, they maintained that the protest itself was an illegal and violent riot.
According to official reports:
Restoring Order
The police emphasized that a formal order to disperse was given by a commanding officer before force was used. "When the rioters refused to obey instructions and continued their violence, police forces began dispersal operations to restore normal life and prevent further damage," the statement read.
While the police affirmed their commitment to the "freedom of protest and expression," they vowed to act "with determination and without compromise against violence, vandalism, and any attempt to disrupt public order."
