JERUSALEM TUNNEL HORROR: Two Critically Injured in Multi-Vehicle Pile-Up Involving Bus
Two young men are in serious condition following a multi-vehicle crash involving a bus inside Jerusalem's Arazim Tunnel. Police have blocked the route.

A severe traffic accident involving multiple private vehicles and a bus occurred Wednesday afternoon inside the Arazim Tunnel (Yitzhak Shamir Road) in Jerusalem, leaving seven people injured, including two in critical condition.
The collision took place around 4:30 PM, causing a total blockage of the strategic tunnel route. Police investigators and emergency teams remained on the scene for several hours, diverted traffic to alternative routes.
First responders arriving at the tunnel found a chaotic scene with several battered vehicles and victims scattered across the lanes.
"We saw a young man about 30 years old lying on the road, unconscious, suffering from a severe head injury," reported MDA paramedic Zohar Kadmi and senior medic Meidan Ben Yoash. "Another 25-year-old man was in serious condition with injuries to his pelvis and limbs. We provided life-saving treatment and evacuated them quickly to the hospitals."
In total, seven victims were treated:
The injured were transported by Magen David Adom (MDA) and "Tzevet Hatzalah" ambulances to Jerusalem’s trauma centers, including Shaare Zedek, Hadassah Ein Kerem, and Hadassah Mount Scopus.
Volunteer medics Issachar Einhorn, Shmaryahu Yeret, and Yoni Goldblatt confirmed that teams worked to stabilize the critically injured via hemorrhage control and limb stabilization before they were rushed into surgery.
Israel Police have officially closed the tunnel in both directions following the accident. Traffic investigators are currently on-site to determine the cause of the multi-vehicle pile-up. Drivers are urged to avoid the Yitzhak Shamir Road area and use alternative routes until the vehicles are cleared and the road is reopened.
