In a bombshell exclusive interview with i24NEWS on November 20, 2025, former Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard unleashed a torrent of accusations against key figures in the Trump administration, claiming anti-Israel elements are working to undermine Ambassador Mike Huckabee after their "friendly" July meeting sparked alarm in the White House.

Pollard, who served 30 years in U.S. prison for espionage on behalf of Israel, revealed he initiated the private sit-down with Huckabee at the U.S. Embassy to personally thank him for advocating his release over a decade ago and for his kindness toward Pollard's late wife, Esther. "The meeting itself was a personal meeting... to express those things that I just mentioned," Pollard told host Miri Michaeli, insisting it was filled with "pleasantries" and gratitude.

But the encounter, which wasn't listed on Huckabee's official schedule and caught U.S. officials off guard, has ignited a firestorm.

Pollard charged that "anti-Israel elements within the Trump administration," including "neo-isolationists like Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes" and "pro-Saudi, pro-Qatari elements," leaked the story to the New York Times as part of a plot to "discredit the ambassador and have him removed."

He speculated the CIA station in the embassy may have been involved, turning a simple thank-you into a weapon against Huckabee.

The drama escalated as Pollard didn't hold back on Trump insiders Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, whom he said he "despises." He accused them of "doing everything in their power to prevent us from winning in Gaza" and acting as "representatives not of the United States but of Saudi Arabia and Qatar and secondarily Turkey as well."

Pollard blasted their role in the recent hostage release, calling it no act of "altruism" but a maneuver to enrich themselves: "He's working on his bank account."

Pollard praised the return of the 20 living hostages but slammed Trump's "21-point peace plan" as a betrayal that "undermines our independence and threatens the security of our country."

He warned that if Israel had unleashed "hell on Hamas" immediately after the deal, the negotiations might have been worthwhile, but instead, they've left Israel vulnerable.Reflecting on his own history, Pollard emphasized he harbors no anger toward America as a whole, only toward "specific people that lied about me, that lied about Israel" to damage U.S.-Israel ties.

"I've done my time. I've been punished. 30 years is a long time," he declared, rejecting any notion that meeting Huckabee violated U.S. policy.

As the interview wrapped, Michaeli thanked Pollard for his "sacrifice that saved many, many lives." But his words have already sent shockwaves through diplomatic circles, exposing deep rifts and raising urgent questions about loyalty in the new Trump era.
