Crazy times we are living in
"I’m ok with as many dead kids as it takes to stop Hamas": Misfit Patriot blows up X
It's a war, a war we don't want, but a war we have to fight nonetheless. Maybe Hamas should have thought about the consequences of October 7th., or did they just expect us to shut up and take it?

The Misfit Patriot has made the world totally nuts. Yesterday he posted: “I’m ok with as many dead kids as it takes to stop Hamas,” sparking a flood of furious replies on X. So, who is this guy, what did he say, and why are people so upset?

Who Is The Misfit Patriot?
The Misfit Patriot is Zachary A. Bonfilio, and he is known for unapologetic Israel advocacy. He’s been since early 2025, sharing views that lean heavily conservative and pro-Israel, while calling out what he sees as fake or overly sentimental arguments.
We don’t know much about Bonfilio’s life outside X, but his posts suggest he’s all about sparking debate. He’s part of a group of X users who favor straight talk over careful wording, especially on issues like the Israel-Hamas war, where he backs Israel’s fight against Hamas, for good reason.
What He Said About Dead Children
The Misfit Patriot went further. On April 22, he wrote, “I’m ok with as many dead kids as it takes to stop Hamas. You people sound like woke leftists trying to make an emotional argument so you can argue from a position or moral superiority.” He also said, “Nobody on either side really gives a fuck about the dead children. We’re not designed to think this way. Of course civilian casualties are horrible, but let’s be [realistic].” Back on February 20, he called Hamas’s supposed parading of dead babies’ bodies “demonic,” pushing for Israel to hit back hard. On April 16, he told comedian Dave Smith, “I don’t care about the dead Palestinian children. The same way you don’t care about all the other children that die around the world every day.”
His stance is clear: Hamas’s actions, like planning to attack schools and committing sexual violence per a UN report, call for a tough response, even if it means Palestinian kids die.
Angry Reactions on X
People on X didn’t hold back. On April 23, @Partisangirl blasted him, saying, “‘I’m ok with killing children’ - The @misfitpatriot_ AKA Zachary A Bonfilio,” sharing his April 22 post and naming him. That post spread fast, with users piling on.
@Postneoist quoted him, writing, “‘I’m ok with as many dead kids as it takes to stop Hamas.’ - The Misfit Patriot,” to call more attention to his words. Others were just as mad. A user, @TruthSeekerX, shot back, “This is gross. You’re talking about kids like they don’t matter. Where’s your heart?” Another, @GazaVoice, said, “Saying you’re fine with kids dying is twisted. You’re spreading hate, not fixing anything.” The outrage shows how his words hit a raw nerve, especially with the war’s heavy toll.
What’s the Bigger Issue?
The Misfit Patriot’s posts stirred up trouble because they tap into a real frustration: Hamas kicked off this war with its October 7, 2023, attack, and its refusal to free hostages has kept it going. A ceasefire in November 2023 swapped 105 hostages for 240 Palestinian prisoners, showing deals can work. But Hamas wants a permanent end to the war before letting go of the 59 hostages left, only 24 of whom might still be alive. Israel, meanwhile, won’t budge until Hamas is gone, and rightfully so.
@realZOLA1611 posted a raw take on the Israel-Hamas conflict: “Hamas slaughtered Israeli children INTENTIONALLY in their beds then hid behind their own children. It sounds callous but sorry when you murder children INTENTIONALLY I don’t care about yours.” The post, flagged for graphic content, got a quick co-sign from the Misfit Patriot, who added, “Correct, and you shouldn’t. If we cared about everyone; we would go insane at all the tragedy around the world. We aren’t built for that much empathy, and anyone claiming they are is virtue signaling.”
What people hate about the Misfit Patriot is that he is immune to bullying. He has pointed out the evils of antisemitism again and again, the fact that Jews make up a whopping 0.2% of the world's population and the insanity of Hamas' October 7th.
He's not feeling sorry for them and he has many haters as a result. He also won't buy into the 'Poor Palestinians' narrative.
I'm not sure why he chooses to fight out fight, but we are blessed to have him doing it.
