Following the cabinet meeting this evening (Sunday), Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a statement saying that the government is set to approve a border barrier to Israel's east which will function like the one to its south, blocking Israel from being swamped.

Netanyahu said that Israel is aiming for a number of key goals in its policy, including eliminating Hamas, returning the hostages, and pounding the Houthis. He then added a fourth goal: establishing a border barrier from the Golan Heights all the way down to Eilat, blocking terrorists, infiltrators, and others who would seek to attack Israel. He also mentioned other methods to prevent Israel from being swamped along the border "which I will not elaborate on here."

Netanyahu reminded his audience of how the border barrier in the south prevented Israel from being swamped by illegal immigrants from Africa, which would have been "the end of the Jewish States." Now, "zero" crossed that border.
