King Bibi?

Is Bibi bouncing back? New poll shows coalition gains

A new poll for Channel 13 shows Netanyahu's coalition within just five seats of a majority, and the opposition with just three more - and also short of Knesset control.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition seems to be recovering, with a new poll today (Monday) conducted for Channel 13 showing his coalition receiving 56 seats - just two short of his "blocking bloc" during the repeat elections of 2019-20.

If the elections were held today, this would be the breakdown of seats: Likud 24, Yisrael Beiteinu 15, The Democrats 14, The State Camp 13, Yesh Atid 11, Jewish Power 11, Shas 10, United Torah Judaism 7, Hadash-Ta'al 6, Ra'am 5, Religious Zionism 4.

Balad would not pass the electoral threshold.

Netanyahu's coalition would get 56 seats, Gantz's camp 53, with the Arab parties getting 11 seats. If members of Gantz's coalition agreed to sit with Ra'am despite recent fallout over October 7 and Gaza, they would still only get to 58 seats.
