IDF eliminates commander of central Gaza Strip rocket unit
Amar Atiya Darwish Aladini commanded the preparation and launching of rockets at Israel and the IDF since Cast Lead all the way through the current war.
The IDF announced that it has eliminated Amar Atiya Darwish Aladini, commander of Hamas' central Gaza Strip rocket unit.
According to the IDF, Aladini specialized in both preparing and concealing rockets, and firing them at Israel and the IDF from the time of Operation Cast Lead in 2009 to the current war, and he also played an important role in the October 7 attack.
The IDF has also been aggressive in striking a series of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad targets in the Jabalia region in response to rocket fire against the Gaza Perimeter. It has mostly targeted: weapons warehouses, launch sites, and terrorist safehouses.
