During a Defense Ministry conference on annual planning, Minister Gallant addressed the draft question, saying that Israel would have to enlist all parts of Israeli society in 2024.

The minister spoke with senior officials in the Defense Ministry regarding the needed direction and preparations for 2024. The conference was also attended by Ministry Director-General Maj.-Gen. (res.) Eyal Zamir, as well as heads of ministry departments and units.

"To ensure our qualitative and quantitative advantage"

At the conference, Gallant said that "2024 will be a year of war and also a year of victory. We will need everyone to face all the challenges. We will need all our soldiers - enlisted and reserved, each in turn. We will need the enlistment of all parts of the nation and all parts of society to 'help carry the load.'"

According to him: "It's right militarily, security-wise, socially, and politically, for every reason. We will need to ensure our qualitative advantage and also our quantitative advantage."
