Watch: Chief of Staff Halevi issues statement in English regarding World Central Kitchen incident
Halevi repeated that the deaths of the WCK workers was a "grave mistake" and that there is now a humanitarian coordination center meant to ensure better coordination of aid provision.

IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi published a filmed statement in English last night (between Tuesday and Wednesday) stating the preliminary findings regarding the mistaken attack on a World Central Kitchen convoy, which killed seven foreign nationals from Britain, Poland, Australia, and the US.
Halevi stated that the attack was a "grave mistake" which happened due to taking place at night in complex combat conditions.
He stated that the results of the full investigation, being conducted by a professional body, will be available within a few days, and that its findings will be presented with complete transparency to the WCK and other relevant humanitarian organizations.
The IDF Chief of Staff further announced the establishment of a center meant to better coordinate humanitarian aid efforts and presumably also to avoid further cases of misidentification.
