Forces of the 7th Brigade's combat team has been working to eliminate terrorists and seize weapons in the area of Khan Yunis and the outskirts of Deir el-Balah.
With the aid of intelligence, forces of the 603rd Battalion and the Yahalom combat engineering unit detected a tunnel extending 1.5 km in the Khan Yunis area.
The tunnel contained weapons and equipment to allow Hamas terrorists to reside there for long periods of time.
