Reuters called the thwarting of the launchers in the various villages in southern Lebanon as "the most powerful blow since the beginning of the war." A resident of the village of Zivkin told the news agency that the residents of the area woke up to the sound of the bombings that began even before dawn and that the unusual attacks "felt like an apocalypse."

About 100 fighter jets of the Air Force destroyed thousands of Hezbollah launchers in southern Lebanon this morning (Sunday), which the terrorist organization intended to launch towards the northern and central settlements as part of the response to the assassination of the organization's senior leader Fouad Shukar, in what appears to be an attack that has not been felt in the Land of Cedars for a long time.

The IDF spokesman, Brigadier General Daniel Hagari, unusually warned the Lebanese citizens who are in southern Lebanon near the launch zones against the attacks in the special statement he delivered this morning. "We recognize that Hezbollah is firing widely into Israeli territory near your home," Hagari addressed the residents, "you are in danger."
