The Houthis released a video today (Monday) allegedly showing the missile which was fired from Yemen and which landed in central Israel, after a partial IDF interception failed to destroy it.

The Houthis claim the missile, called Palestine 2, is a "hypersonic" missile which reaches speeds of Mach 16 and has a range of 2,150 km, operates based on solid fuel in two stages and has advanced maneuvering capabilities which allows it to evade the most advanced aerial defenses.

The IDF has rejected these claims and said that the missile they intercepted is little different than ones they've engaged with in the past.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar sent a letter today to the Houthis, congratulating them on hitting Israel with what they claimed was a "hypersonic" missile and which was not fully intercepted by IDF defenses.

In the letter, Sinwar said that "the state of the resistance is good and it is preparing for a long war of attrition which will break the political will of the occupation as it broke its military will."

Sinwar also said that the joint efforts of the "resistance" in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq will defeat Israel and lead to its residents being expelled from the Palestinian homeland.
