Iranian sources told the newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadid that contrary to earlier reports that Iran would attack Israel from Iraqi territory, Iran was expected to attack Israel from its territory. In addition, the Iranian response could be carried out "at any moment."

The sources clarified that Iran is taking into consideration various regional and global considerations, but "will act in accordance with Iranian national interests and not as other elements want." They also made it clear that the Iraqi militias would also respond, since Israeli fighter jets used Iraqi skies to attack Iran.

The Wall Street Journal reported last night that Iran is considering a much more significant military response than the two that preceded it, following the Israeli attack that severely damaged its air defense systems.

According to senior Iranian and Arab officials, unlike the previous attacks – in April and October – Iran's response is expected to include missiles with more powerful warheads than those it used in the previous attack and other weapons, and will not be limited to missiles and drones, as was done in previous attacks.

In addition, the Iranians conveyed a message that the regular Iranian army would also take part in the response, and not only the Revolutionary Guards, following the deaths of four of its soldiers in the Israeli attack.
