Feldstein under close watch: Guards find noose and suicide note in cell

The government is determined to prosecute Eli Feldstein to the full extent of the law, for what they claim to be anti-Israel espionage he carried out during the war. His lawyer claims he is handcuffed and blindfolded 24/7.

Prison authorities have moved security detainee Eli Feldstein to a supervised observation cell after guards discovered what appeared to be a noose in his cell in a southern Israeli prison, according to multiple sources.

The Israel Prison Service (IPS) confirmed that "security-related findings" in a detainee's cell prompted an immediate transfer to suicide watch, following the prison commissioner's protocols. The IPS statement cited privacy concerns in withholding specific details.

Journalist Yinon Magal first reported the discovery of the apparent noose in Feldstein's cell. "He has been transferred to a monitored cell under supervision," Magal wrote.
