Avigdor Liberman: This is what I think about the ceasefire

Former Defense Minister MK Avigdor Liberman, head of the opposition Israel Beytenu party, blasted the emerging ceasefire deal in the north today (Tuesday), calling it "buying quiet" in the short-term for the country at the expense of serious harm to Israeli security in the long term.

In another post he wrote on X, Liberman compared the emerging 2024 agreement with the ceasefire agreement with Hamas in 2018, implying that the Prime Minister was setting Israel up for a possible October 7-style attack in the north at some point down the line.

Liberman has consistently criticized the current government as being stuck in the mentality of October 6, not realizing the changed security circumstances and the need for major transformations of the security environment.
