Despite opposition from Minister Ben Gvir, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, and skepticism from Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich, the ceasefire agreement is very likely to be approved by a wide margin in the cabinet meeting today.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is set to give a statement to the press at 8 PM Israel Time (1 PM EST) to explain his decision to go ahead with the ceasefire.
