Kan 11 News reveals that according to a report by journalist and broadcaster Ayala Hasson, the former Prime Minister and the ousted Minister of Defense have initiated preliminary talks for political cooperation.

In the report, Hasson revealed that former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who was dismissed from his position by Prime Minister Netanyahu about a month and a half ago, is in initial talks with Naftali Bennett. According to the report, Gallant and Bennett are currently working on a mechanism and agreements that will enable their joint candidacy.

Hasson's revelation comes after several statements from knowledgeable sources regarding Bennett's planned run in the elections. According to his former partner Ayelet Shaked, Bennett's run in the elections is a done deal. Bennett is now working to assemble a list that will stand by him in the elections.

Former Defense Minister Gallant vehemently denied the reports and insisted on being a Knesset member representing Likud despite his precarious position in the party. In a response from Knesset member Galant's office, it was stated: "The publication is false and baseless. Former Defense Minister, Knesset member Yoav Gallant, is a member of the Likud party and will continue to be. Gallant has not spoken to Bennett and has not met him since they served in the same government many years ago. Gallant has no intention of joining him or cooperating with him politically."
