A vehicle coming this evening (Thursday) from the direction of Judea and Samaria to the Eliyahu crossing swerved quickly from its lane and hit a security guard of the Crossings Authority at the Ministry of Defense. The security establishment suspects that this was a terrorist attack.

The security guard who was injured in the attack was lightly injured and taken to the hospital for further medical treatment. The driver of the suspicious vehicle was caught by the forces who set out to chase him and he was detained for questioning.

Recently, there have been a number of similar car-rammings at military checkpoints. Last November, near Modi'in, two female fighters were lightly wounded and two soldiers were wounded near Bethlehem. In addition, in the Hebron Hills, a soldier was run over and seriously injured less than a month ago.
