Hezbollah’s Al-Qassem: "We have reaped in this battle martyrdom and victory"
The leader highlights unity, sacrifice, and faith as the cornerstones of Lebanon and Gaza’s resilience and victory against occupation.

In a speech given earlier this evening (Monday) Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem declared the resistance's victory over Israel as well as the Gazan people's victory.
Qassem emphasized the failure of Israel's efforts to dismantle the resistance, stating, "Israel’s attempts to crush the resistance have failed. It recovered its prisoners only through an agreement, and without unwavering American support, its efforts would not have lasted even a week."
Qassem praised Gaza's recent success, calling it a victory not just for the Palestinian people but for all nations in the region and freedom-loving individuals worldwide. He highlighted that this triumph demonstrates the enduring strength of unity and resistance.
"There remains a stark contrast between the sacred right to resist and the falsehood of aggression," Qassem remarked. "Our strength lies in our rights, faith, willpower, and steadfast resistance." He added that the Lebanese people, united across sects and regions, stood as an incubator for the resistance, while the army made sacrifices to thwart the occupier's attempts to ignite sectarian strife.
The ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, Qassem said, symbolizes a victory in itself. He admitted that the situation brought unexpected challenges and acknowledged, "What happened was surprising, and we did not expect the exposure to be so easy. We are now investigating to learn lessons and implement the necessary measures."
Summarizing the resistance’s achievements, Qassem noted its resilience and ability to endure. He emphasized that the resistance has gained both martyrdom and victory in this battle. While painful Israeli violations persisted, the decision to let the Lebanese state take responsibility for defending its borders demonstrated a strategic move by the resistance.
He condemned those who advocate sovereignty but remained silent on the 1,350 ceasefire violations by Israel, merely asserting that victory had not been achieved. "Yet the reality speaks otherwise," he insisted, highlighting that the resistance adhered to the ceasefire while Israel repeatedly violated it.
Qassem concluded by celebrating the unwavering support of the people, who returned to their front villages, standing firm despite the occupation’s presence and directly confronting the oppressor. This, he affirmed, is proof of the enduring strength and ultimate success of the resistance.
