REVEALED: First Look Inside Hostage's Emotional Return to Home Where She Was Kidnapped
Emily Demari, who endured captivity at the hands of Hamas in Gaza, for over 16 months returned to the same home she was abducted too. Following her return over a week ago, she shared her visit 'back home' on her Instagram page with a poignant message.

In a brave move, Demari shared her return on social media, posting a photo from the house where she had been taken more than 480 days earlier.
The photo shows Demari sitting on a sofa at the entrance of her home in Kibbutz Erez, with a caption that reads: “Emily Tehila Damari was kidnapped from this house.” In the post, she wrote: “I’m back. Today I returned to my home, to my apartment, to the oxygen I had that was almost gone.”
Reflecting on the emotional journey, Demari continued, “I returned to the place where all my nightmares began, 485 days ago, and I have only closed part of the circle that I had hoped to close so much.”
Demari’s words carried a deep sense of both relief and unfinished business. She stressed the importance of not stopping at her own return. "But," she wrote, "like me, there are 79 more hostages who need to close the circle and are waiting to complete the missing pieces."
Her message was clear: “We must not stop here; we have to bring everyone, including everyone, back home — the living for rehabilitation and the murdered for valor. I will only feel my true victory when they return.”
Demari's return symbolizes a powerful moment for both herself and the ongoing struggle to bring home the other hostages still held captive. Her story, one of survival and resilience, continues to inspire calls for action and a renewed commitment to securing the safe return of all those still missing.
