Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has named conservative columnist and longtime Israel advocate Caroline Glick to his office’s public diplomacy team, strengthening Israel’s international messaging amid the ongoing war in Gaza. Glick joined Netanyahu on his visit to Washington on Sunday.

“Life takes you in different directions, and I am going back to the office where I worked nearly three decades ago as the prime minister leads Israel through the most difficult period in the history of the Jewish state,” Glick told JNS on Wednesday.

A veteran journalist and political commentator, Glick previously served in Netanyahu’s office during his first term in the late 1990s. She has held senior editorial roles at The Jerusalem Post and Makor Rishon, contributed to Breitbart News, and founded Latma, an Israeli satirical news site known for its sharp political commentary.

In 2019, she briefly entered politics, running in the Knesset elections with the New Right Party led by Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked. Though the party failed to pass the electoral threshold, Glick has remained an influential voice in Israel’s right-wing circles.

Her appointment comes as Netanyahu restructures his communications strategy to counter growing international criticism of Israel’s military actions. With her deep media experience and strong following in the U.S., Glick is expected to play a key role in shaping Israel’s messaging in Western media.
