Fallen soldier Shai Garmai’s belongings recovered during operation in Jenin
In a major anti-terror operation, Israeli forces uncover personal items of the Border Police officer while dismantling terrorist infrastructure.


During an operation in Jenin conducted by the Judea and Samaria Border Police Command, headed by the Judea and Samaria Border Police Commander, Brigadier General Niso Guetta, and senior staff officers, a report was received from the Egoz unit fighters operating in the area about the discovery of personal items of the late Border Police soldier Shai Garmai z"l.
She was killed in an operation in the Jenin refugee camp on January 7, 2024, after the vehicle in which she was traveling was hit by an explosive device detonated by terrorists. The incident led to her death and the wounding of other soldiers.
The equipment found includes a wallet with ID cards, a mobile phone and other personal equipment. The Judea and Samaria Border Police Commander collected the items from the scene and immediately informed Garmai's family.
