Arbel Yehud’s First Message After Gaza Release: “Keep the Struggle Alive”
Five days after being freed from captivity in the Gaza Strip, Arbel Yehud shared her first message with the public, urging everyone to continue the fight for the return of all hostages and not to give up.

In her statement, Yehud asked, “I ask everyone to continue the struggle and not to relent. When all our loved ones are returned home, we will all be able to focus on healing.”
Arbel Yehud, who was released from captivity last week after being held by terrorist organizations in Gaza, emphasized the importance of perseverance in her message. She expressed gratitude for her own release, but reminded the public that her journey is far from over. “When Ariel, Sasha, David, and all our loved ones are returned home, we will all be able to focus on healing,” she added.
Arbel’s family also released a statement following her release, expressing their overwhelming joy and relief. “Our life’s mission, to bring Arbel back to us, has succeeded, and we are overwhelmed and very excited,” they said. They also acknowledged the difficult road ahead, as they continue to mourn the loss of their loved one, Dolav, Arbel’s brother, who was tragically murdered in the brutal attack.
The family expressed their gratitude to everyone who helped make Arbel’s release possible. “Thank you to the masses, who work day and night in the struggle to bring back all our loved ones, and who do not give up during these painful, difficult, and too long months,” they said. They also paid tribute to the families who have suffered the greatest losses. “Our hearts are with all the families who paid the heaviest price of all, and all those people who gave of themselves, and were harmed in body and soul.”
Despite the overwhelming joy of Arbel’s return, the Yehud family made it clear that their mission is not yet complete. “Ariel, Arbel’s partner, is still being held captive in Gaza. So are her brother David, her good friend Sasha, the other captives from Nir Oz, and all the beloved ones. We will not relent until all the hostages are released,” they stated.
They urged the public to keep the pressure on and continue advocating for the release of all hostages. “We must bring everyone home immediately so that we can heal as a society,” they said.
The family also requested privacy during this difficult time. “In these days following Arbel’s return, despite the understandable excitement and the feeling that Arbel is our daughter, we want to give Arbel the peace and space she needs right now, and therefore we ask all of you to respect her privacy and ours.”
