Arab media: Donald Trump's Gaza statements a new "Balfour Declaration"
Arab media responded furiously to President Donald Trump's declaration in favor of relocating the displaced Gazan population to other countries.

President Trump's statements yesterday (Tuesday) in favor of relocating the over two million displaced Palestinians to other countries, as well as Gaza being "owned" by the United States, have led to intense attention - and condemnation - in the Arab press.
One headline even compared it to the 1917 Balfour Declaration, which recognized the Jewish right to a homeland in the State of Israel:
Netanyahu-Trump Meeting Shocks the World
The Balfour Declaration was reissued today through ethnic cleansing in order to expel 2 million Palestinians from Gaza
Many other Arab outlets are also using the Balfour Declaration example, as a reference to a major political decision that in their view seriously harmed and dispossessed the Palestinians in favor of the Jews.
Saudi Arabia responded to Trump's statement that they would agree to peace and normalization with Israel without a Palestinian state by issuing a manifesto very early in the morning stating that Saudi Arabia "has not stopped working for an independent Palestinian state whose capital is East Jerusalem and that Saudi Arabia will not maintain diplomatic relations with Israel without this."
The statement is ambiguous, as "this" could mean a Palestinian state, and it could mean simply committing to one degree or another to work towards a Palestinian state. Saudi leaders and officials have often indicated they would be satisfied with the latter.
The Hamas spokesperson responded to Trump's relocation plan by saying that "the racist American position aligns with the Israeli extreme right's positions to expel our people and eliminate the Palestinian issue. We call on all countries of the world to reject Trump's declarations and support the rights of the Palestinian people."
The relocation plan has received support from Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who hopes to work with the Israeli government to make it a reality, and former National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
