Ari Rosenfeld, a reserve intelligence officer involved in the leak of classified documents alongside Eli Feldstein, who was recently released to house arrest, petitioned today (Tuesday) to the district court for the release of his electronic bracelet.

In the petition, filed by his lawyers Uri Korb, Sivan Russo, and Yehoshua Lemberg, they argued that the indictment against him was filed during the investigation "for irrelevant reasons" and despite the investigation not being concluded in the case.

According to his lawyers, the conduct in the case was "highly problematic, to say the least," and there was "misuse of power and cynical exploitation of the prosecution's authority." As mentioned, they requested his release from house arrest.

Eli Feldstein, the former spokesperson for Prime Minister Netanyahu and a defendant in the case, also petitioned the court today to be released from the detention restrictions, which include an electronic bracelet and limits on contacting people in his environment. This was reported by 'Kan News.'

About three weeks ago, the Tel Aviv District Court ruled that Rosenfeld would be released to house arrest with an electronic bracelet, after four months in custody. Earlier, the State Attorney's Office announced that they agreed to release the reserve officer to house arrest.

It’s worth recalling that Ari Rosenfeld is a Haredi from Bnei Brak, who grew up in a Haredi family in Har Nof. After marrying his wife, Avital Brant from Bnei Brak, he moved to live near his in-laws. He enlisted in the IDF and served in an intelligence unit as a career officer – an officer.
