Marco Rubio unlocks $4 billion in military aid to Israel, overturning Biden's arms freeze
In a decisive move, the U.S. Secretary of State invoked emergency authorities to expedite the transfer of $4 billion in military assistance to Israel, signaling a complete reversal of the Biden administration’s previous weapons hold.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Saturday that he had signed a declaration invoking emergency authorities to expedite the delivery of approximately $4 billion in military assistance to Israel.
“The decision to reverse the Biden Administration’s partial arms embargo, which wrongly withheld a number of weapons and ammunition from Israel, is yet another sign that Israel has no greater ally in the White House than President Trump,” Rubio stated.
He emphasized that since taking office, the Trump administration has approved nearly $12 billion in major foreign military sales (FMS) to Israel. Rubio linked this latest move to Trump’s repeal of a Biden-era memorandum that had imposed what he called “baseless and politicized conditions” on military aid to Israel at a time when it was engaged in a war for survival against Iran and its proxies.
Rubio affirmed that the Trump administration “will continue to use all available tools to fulfill America’s long-standing commitment to Israel’s security, including means to counter security threats.”
President Trump recently confirmed that he had personally ordered the release of 2,000-pound bombs that had been withheld from shipment to Israel.
“A lot of things that were ordered and paid for by Israel, but have not been sent by Biden, are now on their way!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The move follows reports from early May that the Biden administration had halted a weapons shipment to Israel. The White House later admitted that the decision was made due to U.S. opposition to Israel’s planned operation in the Gazan city of Rafah.
