Multi-front Shabbos

IDF targets Sinwar successor's Gaza home

Israeli forces demolish apartment of Mohammed al-Amudi, believed to be next Hamas leader in Gaza, as eight soldiers injured in Lebanon vehicle accident | Trump convenes security cabinet on Iran and Houthis

Manhunt operation

A turbulent Shabbat unfolded across Israel's security fronts, with the IDF operating simultaneously on multiple theaters. On Shabbat morning, Israeli forces demolished the apartment of Mohammed al-Amudi, widely regarded as the successor to Yahya Sinwar in Hamas's Gaza leadership. Local reports indicate casualties at the site, though no official confirmation has been received regarding al-Amudi's fate.

The operation demonstrates Israel's continued ability to strike Hamas's senior echelon even in the later months of the war, as the terror organization attempts to rebuild its ranks. In September alone, the IDF and Shin Bet eliminated 70 Hamas operatives, including three brigade commanders, two battalion commanders, and nine company commanders. Among those killed were 17 terrorists directly involved in the October 7 massacre inside Israel.

At the same time, eight soldiers were lightly injured in an operational vehicle accident in southern Lebanon.

In recent weeks, military activity has intensified along the Syrian border as well. Local residents in villages of Quneitra and the western Daraa countryside describe an unusual wave of IDF raids. According to reports, forces are conducting nighttime operations on homes and farms, carrying out thorough searches, firing warning shots, deploying attack dogs, and confiscating mobile phones and personal weapons, searching for weapons held by civilians in the area adjacent to the ceasefire line.
